Food is at the centre of most things we do, therefore it is important that we make time to learn about it; the different food items, vitamins, nutrients, to enjoy cooking with it and to most definitely eat it and not avoid it!
There is no such thing as good or bad foods, but instead there are foods that can help us to feel better. Food sources that can help us to feel more energised, to help improve health conditions, to help us feel “healthier” from the inside and out. But there are food items that we must learn how how to balance and manage so that they reduce risk of furthering or creating health problems such as anxiety, migraines and weight gain etc and for each and every one of us this will vary, from individual to individual, health condition to health condition
This is where it is your job to make it your priority, your duty to your body to treat it well, to learn what it needs to help it work at its best capacity. Exercise need not be intimidating or daunting, there is a exercise style out there for everyone! You don't have to be a certain age, size or gender to exercise. Whether your goal is to get stronger, run faster, build muscle or burn fat, you must be consistent, persevere and believe in yourself. In order for you to keep it up and make it a routine, you need to want to do it. Find a training style that works for you; running, high intensity training, weight training, functional or a mixture of everything, I will help you create a programme and work along side you to motivate you to meet your goals!
The key is consistency, having a plan, knowing what you're working towards and checking you are doing so along the process. In today's society, there are many myths and pills that explore fat loss. However the truth is diet and exercise need to be balanced in order to achieve successful fat loss. You can exercise as much as you'd like but if you are not eating the right foods , you will not receive the full benefit of fat loss, muscle building or be creating a healthy environment for your body.

Around my One to One PT and nutrition coaching sessions with my lovely clients I teach Indoor cycling, HIIT and functional FIT classes. I am also a keen foodie, both cooking and eating!
As a young adolescent, overweight, I had a negative relationship with food, yo-yo dieting and did not really listen to my body, feeding it with caffiene and "diet foods", yo-yoing to try see results. I used to spend hours copying exercises I had seen on the internet, I would under eat, over eat, skip meals. I was lacking all the nutrients I should have been eating, I was miserable, energy-less and could not understand why I wasn't achieving my goals when I was working my body so hard
In 2017, my personal experience and lack of understanding towards food led me to my career in Nutrition and Fitness, and along the journey, my priorities and practice changed. With a new healthy mindset, I felt more energised and positive towards food (all types of food) my body was changing, reaping the benefits of eating welI. I started to experience what healthy meant, both mentally and physically. Following my nutrition practice, which gave me a whole new life full of energy, I began to love exercise, pushing my strength and endurance, through challenges to make it stronger, healthier and along the way my Personal Training qualification, which helped me to fine tune my exercise style.
This is why I have made it my goal with Nutrition First to help others learn this too, to help people achieve their health goals through learning about the importance of eating a range of foods, inclusive of fats and carbs, and building exercise plans that not only push you, but are enjoyable and successful in getting results. To change the way we perceive achieving our health and fitness goals, to do so the safe and right way. There is nothing better that you can do that to learn about your body, the food we eat, find exercise you enjoy, see progress, feel stronger, more confident and fall in love with the process and yourself. It will teach you how to really take charge of your well-being and improve your general state of health! To get FITTER, STRONGER, FEEL YOUR BEST and maintain it all at the same time!
